First, you need to download the IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client: MIRC. Click here to get it !
Premièrement, vous avez besoin du logiciel MIRC. Cliquez ici pour l'obtenir.
Then follow the installation instructions to properly install and start MIRC.When you are asked to enter a nickname, it will be appreciated if you could add your station identifier, so the channel operator and other Specialists can identify your site.

Ensuite suivez attentivement les instructions d'installation, et démarrez le programme MIRC. Lorsqu'il vous sera demandé d'inscrire un surnom (nick), il serait grandement apprécié si vous pouviez y ajouter l'indicatif de votre station, le tout permettant à l'opérateur du canal ainsi qu'a vos confrères d'identifier votre site.
Then you're almost ready to enter the #fss channel on Dalnet. But before you need to select an IRC server. By default MIRC will suggest you a random Dalnet IRC server, but it is recommended that you select the SANTA CLARA DALNET SERVER.This server is more reliable than other servers. After you have selected SANTA CLARA DALNET SERVER, click on "connect to server". This will connect you to the server.When it's done type /join #fss this command will bring you directly into the #fss channel, then you will be with your fellows FSS. From there the channel operator(s) (identify with a @ prior to his nickname) will help you out if you need some help
Vous êtes maintenant presque prèt à entrer sur le canal #fss sur Dalnet. Mais auparavant vous devez sélectionner un serveur IRC. Par défaut, MIRC vous proposera un serveur Dalnet par défaut, mais il est recommendé d'utiliser le server DALNET SANTA CLARA. Ce serveur est plus fiable que les autres serveur. Lorsque vous aurez sélectionné le serveur DALNET SANTA CLARA, cliquez sur "connect to server", ceci vous connectera au serveur IRC. Une fois la connection établi, tapez /join #fss, cette commande vous amènera directement au canal #fss, et vous serez alors avec vos confrères FSS. A partir de ce moment-là le(s) opérateur(s) du canal (identifié avec un @ précèdant leur surnom) pourrons vous aider au besoin.
